Building Stronger Communities Together

At ESCO, we believe that success is about more than business growth—it’s also about the positive impact we can create in the communities we serve. Giving back has always been at the heart of who we are, and we’re proud to support initiatives that strengthen, inspire, and uplift people around us. Our efforts are guided by our values of connectivity, curiosity, human dignity, and courage, which shape the way we show up for others.

Our Philosophy of Giving

We focus our efforts on local organizations whose missions it is to help children and families, knowing that when we invest in people, we invest in the future. Each initiative we support reflects both our values as a company and the passions of our employees. Together, we are creating a culture of compassion and generosity.

Highlights from Our Community Involvement

Below are some examples from this past year where our teams came together in meaningful ways to support important causes:

  • Employees from our Marion office participated in United Way’s Day of Caring to help deliver meals with the Meals on Wheels program through Horizons, and helped create new walking trails for the animals at the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
  • Employees from our Omaha, NE office donated items for a silent auction benefiting Share my Smile, an organization in Council Bluffs, IA that provides services to foster families.
  • Our Altoona and Marion offices held bedding drives for their local Sleep in Heavenly Peace chapters to support their mission of building and delivering beds to children in need.
  • ESCO held its annual company charity golf outing, which raises donations for a local nonprofit organization. This year the donations went to a variety of causes: Cedar Valley Humane Society, UPH St. Luke’s Child Protection Center, and the Freedom Foundation.
  • ESCO was also a sponsor for multiple events including the Tanager Place golf outing and Foundation 2’s Putts for Prevention, both local organizations providing various prevention, treatment and outreach services to children, teens, and young adults, as well as the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight, which provides veterans an opportunity to visit monuments and memorials built in their honor.

Each effort, big or small, has helped us build stronger connections with our neighbors and demonstrates the impact we can make together. As an employee-owned company, we’re proud to continue investing our time, resources, and energy into causes that reflect both who we are and the future we want to help build.
